Gotta be the Charming moments:
A) Charming punching Hook out of the blue.
B) Charming watching the Rumbelle farewell scene till Rumple eyes him weirdly. I know it’s your OTP, Charming, but a little privacy would not be amiss.
My only real concern with Belle staying in Storybrooke is that there really isn’t anyone there who she can interact with.
Sure, we have Ruby, Whale, Granny and Archie, but these cast members are off doing different things. It’s going to be really hard to get them to come on set to shoot whatever scenes that there are going to be.
I know that they have a new set of Storybrooke to shoot things, but really… what are they going to show Belle doing in SB with no one around?
My hope is that the whole “Organization dead set against magic” will be a big part of next season, thus giving us Belle screentime as she tries to hold down the fort.

What I loved about the sneak peek is that it gave us Rumple’s shocked reaction. 300 years or so of planning and longing and his son is gone. Deep down what he wants to do above all is give up. He’s tired, he’s fought for so long, and done so many things, some awful, that he’s ready to just let go. That’s his gut reaction.
I have a feeling he won’t stay down and defeated for long. At least when he realizes that he owes it to Belle to fight for her, and needs to.

I think it’s both. Rumple sees himself as a failure without magic, a cowardly good for nothing that will never accomplish anything in life. Therefore, how is he to find his son without magic? How is he to face his son without a way to make it better? A stupid, stupid way that was better off unuttered, btw.
That was also an excuse to bring back magic. “For Bae” was a way to rationalize something he knew was wrong or, at least, wouldn’t make Bae happy.
Rumple is a deeply complex man, so we catch tiny glimpses of his motivations instead of one big revelation about it all.
“I brought magic to this world to find Bae, and now he’s dead. Magic always has a price and this… this is it. But I’m prepared to pay it.”
Bobby, I’ll make it my life’s mission to make sure you’re contractually forbidden from crying on camera. It’s the only way I’ll survive.
I was pretty proud of Rumple in that Sneak Peek. He’s making a very melodramatic choice, but he’s finally OK with being out of control, with not force-feeding the image that he has the ultimate power. He’s OK with dying only because the people he loves and the people who loved him have been taken out of the equation, and he knows that they’d rather he do no more harm than he’s already done. No one knows as well as Rumplestiltskin that All Magic Comes with a Price. I may not agree that it’s time to lie down and die, his keen mind can still be an asset to Team Charming, but this is the most character development we’ve seen from him in a while.
I’m very proud that:
A) He isn’t kidding himself. He owns up to his foolish mistakes and blames no one but himself. That’s my self-aware bastard.
B) He’s proving that powers means SQUAT to him if he doesn’t have a loved one. Belle is “gone”, Bae is “gone”, so what good is power?
C) This is all in-character. He’s shocked. Bae was his world. He spent centuries trying to get to him. It’s only fitting that once he thinks he’s gone he doesn’t flip and demand revenge… He lets go. Of all of it. He wants punishment for what he sees as a direct consequence of his stupid choices.
D) He gains bravery. An odd, misplaced sort of bravery, but bravery still.
Also all that Cranky said.
‘And Straight on Till Morning’ - Sneak Peek #2 (low-quality for now)
Here’s to hoping that when Belle gets her memories back Rumple realizes he has one last person to fight for (this fulfilling the “Rumple will fight for Belle” promise).
Also, Ouch. Ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch, ouch.
I couldn’t resist watching this.
OUCH. My poor woobie Rum. You need hugs and snuggles and a magic bean so you can find your Bae alive and well in FTL somehow. Bad plot planning or not, he seriously needs Belle back now to help him through this.
At this point I don’t care if Belle gets her memories back in the silliest possible way. Let her be struck in the head by some sort of magic baseball bat. Let her be cured by True Love’s Sneeze, or Fairy weed… Just cure her, for God’s sake. That man, that woobie, hopeless bastard needs her.
True loves sneeze haha.
Rumple: *ACHOO*
Belle: ”Rumple? Oh, you poor dear, let me hold you my love!”Seriously though, Lacey cannot handle this situation, and Rum needs something to fight for. Belle is integral to the survival of Storybrooke at this point.
Lady Belle: Professional Town saviour.

Actually, anon, I think you are right. Like, fuck… YES. Belle would associate that necklace with her nightmare regarding Rumple and Lacey’s attraction to his power. She would take it off immediately.
Thanks for sharing!
Ok, yeah, that’s Belle. I know my bookish, out-spoken fairy tale heroines, okay?

It’s this one: “There’s a lovely moment Emilie de Ravin and I shot that Rumbelle fans will love,” Robert dished, which matches past spoilers about the ship. But then he adds, “But in Once style, it doesn’t last long.”
That, coupled with what I know about the finale led me to my theory. I could be completely wrong though. We’ll see!

I’m prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt till I actually see what they plan to do. If it turns out that once again that happens I predict OUAT will lose a lot of viewers, and quite rightly.

What’s left to see is:
For how long?
And who are the “protagonists”? I mean, Belle is a member of the main cast but you can hardly tell by watching the show.
